Or even if you live locally to Heacham Manor, there is plenty to tempt you to enjoy an evening out, so read on to find out what’s on this season.

Whodunnit?! Sherlock Holmes Murder Mystery

We’re a nation obsessed with thrillers and it’s estimated that crime novels account for almost 20 per cent of UK book sales, with a new TV whodunnit on our screens almost weekly. In fact, our passion for puzzle-solving crime is nothing new with more than two billion copies of the ‘Queen of Crime’ Agatha Christie’s novels, only outsold by the Bible and Shakespeare, gripping readers and Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes murder mysteries enduring in print and on screen, decades after they were penned.

If you fancy yourself as a super-sleuth, you will not want to miss our Sherlock Holmes Murder Mystery which takes place on 1 March in The Pavilion. Sherlock himself and his sidekick, Dr Watson will greet the cast which includes diners too, who will be selected as a suspect, victim or even the murderer.

From the first clue, the plot unravels while a three-course meal is served, and this gripping evening is set to be a fantastic, fun event. Why not book a table with family or friends and see if you can trust your nearest and dearest after all – who knows, they may be the murderer! Tickets are priced £49.95 per person, including dinner, with a limited number of guests, so get in touch to book and see if you are as clever as the master himself at unravelling the clues to solve the crime.

Unleash your inner artist!

They say there’s an artist in every one of us, and if you haven’t discovered yours yet our upcoming  series of Norfolk Paint Parties could be the way to make your mark.

Led by illustrator and graphic designer Nikki Brown, these fun and supportive sessions will take place from 7-9.30pm on 19 March when the Norfolk coast will be the source of inspiration, and 24 April with cheeky donkeys as the theme!

Tickets are £29 per person and you will leave the evening with a canvas to adorn your home and show off your talents to friends and family – even if you have never painted before, Nikki will show you the way and encourage you to get creative. Book here and see where your artistry will take you!

Mother’s Day at Heacham Manor – pud’s on us!

Now you don’t need us to tell you that Mother’s Day is the moment to thank the first lady in your life, but what better way to treat her than with a delicious Sunday lunch which doesn’t involve her standing over a hot stove or washing up! Food has traditionally been a symbol of love for mothers, and since the 16th century, Mothering Sunday was marked with a bouquet of wildflowers and a tasty treat – originally simnel cake, ‘mothering buns’ or fig pies were eaten.

This year, you take care of the flowers and we’ll provide the food for her big day. Book Sunday lunch at Heacham Manor and choose between our AA Rosette Mulberry Restaurant, with views over Heacham Manor’s grounds and beautifully cooked classic dishes, or The Pavilion for a more relaxed ambience and tasty carvery – the choice is yours. And, as it’s mum’s big day, we’ll treat her to dessert. Be sure to book as our Mother’s Day events are always popular.

Spring is coming and with it a wonderful season to get out and explore Norfolk’s coastline, so plan ahead and make March marvellous!
